For a sustainable management of our natural resources and finding solutions to any environmental problems – an interdisciplinary approach is of utmost importance. RTGEOENVIRON was founded in the year 2012, with an aim to work with vulnerable communities that are nestled in unique and varied ecosystems. It aims at equipping communities with a comprehensive knowledge, so as to take collective and an informed decisions, especially in lieu of changing landscape and climate. There is a great need to bridge gaps that exist between knowledge & practice and address natural resource management problems through a systems thinking approach. I find it relevant to incorporate other interdisciplinary lenses in finding sustainable solutions and reduce our natural footprint.
